The Great Holiday Escape

Some of you may already be enjoying travel this Holiday Season. 
​If not, here are my top 5 reasons to make The Great Holiday Escape...

1. Use Fewer Vacation Days
Extending your holiday days off minimizes the amount of days taken from your vacation bank. More bang for your buck! Save those vacation days for later!

2. Step Away from The Hustle Bustle
Holidays can be a source of major stress for families as they juggle home cleaning, meal preparations, strong personalities, gift shopping and more.  A resort getaway helps them put the “pause” on all the planning. Sure, there’s preparation involved, but when the major decision of the day is deciding between the beach or the pool, it doesn’t seem too terribly taxing.  Plus… I’m here to help with the planning!  You can literally just pack and go!

3. Create New Family Memories
Wake up early to watch the sun rise over the horizon. Visit a volcano. Explore the local music scene. Try new foods. Visiting a new destination can awaken possibilities and a sense of adventure in the whole family. Sharing a unique experience is one of the best ways to strengthen bonds and create memories that you will all cherish forever!

4. Leave the Housework Home
This is MY favorite reason!  For the holidays, many hotels and resorts craft special menus to celebrate the occasion and it is sure to be deliciously stress-free.  We have spent Thanksgiving in many different places, but always manage to have some form of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

5. Explore Together
There is nothing like the excitement of exploring a new place.  Families can take advantage of being in a different environment by soaking up some new knowledge or acquiring a skill. Learn how to surf. Learn some foreign phrases. Explore a local museum. Doing things outside of your comfort zone can be beneficial and enjoyable!

If your kids are a little older, give a few actual gifts this year and put the rest of your gift budget towards a fantastic family vacation.  Let’s face it – most kids have more than enough “stuff” but not enough interaction with their family.
